Default Bible-based communities

Hello, I know this is a sticky subject for some but I would just like to have the name of cities that have a huge bible based community of believers. I know LDS, Mormons are big communities there, what about Nondenominational Bible believers.... Any such cities in ID?
This is an important factor for me coming from the bible belt!!! As to where I will fit in the best.

Thank You

There are always communities within the cities that are bible based. In fact there's a non-denom church here that is so large they not only have two Sunday morning services, but Saturday evening as well.

However, if you look in our phone book there are several more LDS related listings than any other religion. That's due in part to the neighborhood ward issue, I guess it's so many homes per ward and so there's nearly one in each subdivision here in Eastern Idaho.

If I have the ward/stake stuff mixed up, anyone whose in the know is more than welcome to clear things up

Depends on your definition of "huge", "Bible Based" and "fitting in". Any Mormon will tell you they're bible-based. As for huge, if you're looking for megachurches you'll be sorely disappointed.

Finally as for fitting in, if you need to be around only people like you why not stay put?

Exclamation Bible Churches

You probably won't find the churches like you have back there here. We have Mormon,Catholic,Baptist,Luthern & some Calvary and feel good churches. Its hard to find non-Denominational that preach from the bible a least that has been my experience. I am sure you would be disappointed from what I have heard of the churches in the Bible belt but, then they probably wouldn't fit in around here.

There are numerous large non-LDS churches anywhere North of Boise.

I have personally attended some large non-LDS churches in Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene.

I am sure you will find one that fits you as there are many to chouse from. But I also understand why I believe. For me it is nice to have others that share your beliefs and morals around were you live also. Bluntly speaking a home is were ever you make it other wises it is just a building

Western Idaho (Boise area) has a lot of huge non denominational churches--they are everywhere. THere are several "Bible" churches that are a lot larger than LDS and Catholic church buildings. Boise is a very diverse city as far as religion goes and the LDS faith is not dominant. I have a friend who goes to a church in West Boise where the people roll around and get healed and such. My neighborhood downtown has several "bungalow" churches which are non denom. In fact, one of the local congregations had a huge baptism (Vineyard Church) for over 100 people in the Boise River a few weeks ago.
Some of the smaller comminutes outside of Boise were started by Quackers like Green Leaf, New Plymouth. Nampa is home to the Northwest Nazarene College. Boise has a Bible College. If you surf through the local radio stations, you will hear that there are quite a few Christian music stations.

Looking for a Bible community/church that is not LDS in Boise will not be a problem at all. There is even a large cross up on a hill above Boise (Table Rock) that is lit up all night every night of the year.

There was a movement but the idiots(they were not even from Idaho but from the "liberal" east coast) who wanted it taken down lost in a big way. It is now on private land and cannot be challenged again.

Putty--
there are a wealth of bible based churches in Idaho. I don't live there right now--am looking to--but all you need to do is a search at www.churchangel.com and it will tell you the churches there. Many have websites, those that don't you can do a Google search on. There are a handful of Calvary Chapels throughout ID (check calvarychapel.org) that are very sound and there are a couple Vineyard churches--and of course there are numerous other 'non-denoms'. Don't feel bad for wanting to fit in, if a Mormon wanted to live in the so-called Bible Belt, they'd want to find an LDS church.
