Starting Over Steve is on a distinguished road
Default Starting over in Idaho?

Just trying to get a feel after reading so many posts.
I too am a Californian tired of the pace of things, the traffic, the crime, the in-ability to afford to buy anything, etc. I'm also about to start over after 10 years of marriage, and not sure where to start. I was looking at some of the Hubble Homes, but now hear some horror stories.

After coming back from a weekend of some House Hunting myself with a great agent named Torrie /whom some of you might already know I can tell you there are so many homes to chose from don't waist your time on the Hubble homes. If you want to get the best for you $$ then shop around a bit. The right house is out there for you.

Fresh Start - I'm not looking for a new residence, but I've exchanged some e-mails with Torrie. So I feel like I sort of know her. I appreciate you telling us/me, it was YOU that took her away from answering my e-mail. Torrie can explain.....it's not a problem, she puts her clients first and politely explained why she couldn't answer something until after she took care of her clients. Smart, IMO!

The other thing I've always appreciated about Torrie, is like me, she tries to go to local, state or national databases to answer many questions in specific posts. It's easy to have opinions perceived as facts, and I've always found Torrie, while having opinions, also having the facts to back them up.

So I'll forgive you Fresh Start, since you were so nice to post about your experience. My questions can be answered later.

I hope you found somewhere very special that spoke to you. If not, I'm sure Torrie will keep working to find what is available.

Good luck, Starting over Steve. Lots of us are starting over, it seems. While maybe not from the same things, a lot of us have reached an age where we are more clear in what we MUST have in our lives vs. what we thought we HAD to have, or needed in different eras (or will need down the road). And most of us are better equipped to try to decide how to make some of those changes.

I hope you are able to find what you are looking for; but IMHO, you've already found part realizing why you aren't happy right now. Have you ever noticed people who seem to hate a certain location - anywhere- often have circumstances that were not happy for them at the time? Good for your for having the courage to make a change, when a change is needed.
