Christian schools in/around Coeur D'Alene Area?
We are looking to get as much info as possible on the Christian schools in/around the CDA area. We prefer one that goes through 12th grade and hope to gain some insight beyond what's on the school websites. Anyone have any experience with the schools in Post Falls or Hayden? Any other hidden gems?

My kids goto Lake City Jr. Academy. They score very high on standardized tests. Seventh-day Adventist. But only goes to 10th grade. Small class sizes, so the kids get alot of attention. There are very few Christian schools that goto 12th grade in the CDA area. Classical Christian is another great school as well. They always do very well in the sciences vs. other schools in the area.

My son is 3 years old and goes to Cornerstone Christian Academy in Post Falls. It goes through 12th grade. I love the education they provide and the teachers are great. Non-denominational. They score very high on tests. Check out Welcome to CornerStone Christian Academy

Not to butt-in, but there are no credible tests for three year olds worth using in school selection...

Hahaha....I don't think Metubal meant that they're touting the test scores of 3 year olds....

Thanks! We took a short look at Classical Christian and North Idaho Christian. Classical was a bit more pricey but if we buy closer to it we'd probably save the difference in gas. Looks like they have a lot to offer and a good student population so it's on our definite possibility list. We're hoping for a 10+ class size (he has 11 in his class right now)

Thanks as well. I think we saw this one but the online info showed they only had about 60 students from pre-K to 12th. Is this old info or pretty accurate? Not that smaller schools aren't great, just with our son going into junior high in a few years we were hoping to have a slightly bigger school.

We've also been looking at Classical Christian. I think it looks like a fabulous school. In my mind's eye, this is exactly what we've been looking for with our kids.
It gets great reviews at Great Schools:

The price is a lot more affordable than many of the private schools in our current location, as well, which has up to this point made private schools unaffordable to us.
There are some schools in Moscow that seem to fit the bill (Logos School)

I attended Lake City Jr. Academy in the late 90's for 8th-10th grade, and the class size in those grades was about 15-20, so unless there has been a huge drop in their attendance (entirely possible), I don't believe that 60-student number is accurate.
At the time I attended, their middle & high school teachers were very well-qualified, and there were lots of nice opportunities such as educational class trips to the Oregon Coast and through Washington (7th & 8th grades), and to Washington D.C. and Europe (9th & 10th grades).
The one area where they were lacking was athletics. While there were lots of P.E. opportunities for the students every day, there were no organized sports teams and many parents who wanted their children to be more involved in athletics had their students participate in sports in the same way homeschool parents do.
After LCJA, I attended Falls Christian Academy (now closed) for my final two years of high school.
Although it's neither a Christian School, nor a private school, I have heard wonderful things about Coeur d'Alene's Charter Academy. I know for a fact at least some of the teachers there are Christian. I know many Christian families who have their kids there and are very satisfied with it.

Yeah, I believe there are almost 150 students. Still small, but really great!
The current 7th and 8th graders are, right now, in Washington D.C. learning about our wonderful country's history!
Organized sports are still lacking, but with all the league sports in town, there are options.
I've also heard great things about Charter Academy.
