cleosmom,
Oh course I want to hear the story. I got a lot of my own, like the last time I flew into a smaller city on a commercial commuter. The owner of the commuter was on board and attempted to help the 2 pilots after we fell 1,000 ft. immediately and the flight attendant got hurt. The owner, who had been at the back of the plane, bounced to the front to help stabilize the airplane against a 100 mph+ tail wind the plane had just entered.
Let's just say a lot of people were communicating with their maker in one form or another. A kid behind me said, "Mommy, are we going to die?" and a few adults around me had more direct words for their maker (I can't repeat that here).
Once on the ground, a few could barely walk. Some people literally kissed the GROUND, and the pilot was too rattled to drive the crew car. So the flight attendant had to drive the trio to their hotel for the night.
And I swore off that airport. Always hated landing there and was terrified the one time the pilots took off against the mtns. with only 6,000 ft. to get up and over the mountain.
Earlier events at that airport included 2 aborted talks offs on a mesa that just drops, then there was the time the pilot couldn't tell for sure if the landing gear had locked, so we did a "fly by" with the "experts" of that airport telling the pilot if the gear was down or not. By "experts," I'm referring to those who loaded the baggege, took our tickets and did everything the 3-4 person crew did with each flight at that airport. Oh, I'm full of stories and how much praying occurred on those flights.
So I'm always interested in those stories on commuters, which serve many Idaho communities, but fewer and fewer of the small ones to Boise and Idaho Falls (now everything is at least 50 seats or more). It's the 30 seater size, or smaller, that have created memories for many of us who have had to fly somewhere we didn't want to.

"Rain, sleet, snow, Mormon crickets, Mothra, or Godzilla, it doesn't matter; just as long as we aren’t diverted to some other airport or end up circling the field for an eternity. We will be flying in from LA after a visit in Mexico, and we will be less than energetic."
SgtL - Here's the link for the Boise Airport:

Circling just doesn't happen in Idaho like it does at the hubs. I don't know which way is N, S, E or W I've circled in Atlanta so much. Boise is straight forward. If there is a delay, it usually doesn't last for long.
No LAX, SFO etc. in ID.
