Snowy Saturday
Just to let you know, this is the second Saturday in a row we're getting snow. This week it's sticking better than last, however the last forecast I saw was for tomorrow to be 50! Get your wading boots out, going to be lots of puddles!

It looked like a hurricane hit town with all the downed tree limbs and power lines today! I felt sorry for the cops and utility crews out in that heavy wet stuff.
I was impressed with the driving I saw around town though. Usually, the first real snow of the season, people go nuts and slide all over the place because they forgot how to drive over the summer. I didn't see any problems today. I heard about two or three minor wrecks, which isn't bad for Idaho Falls.

There couldn't have been many accidents, everyone was at Walmart. Trust me, I know since I was there twice today
I agree that the poor trees had no preparation time. My lilac looked like someone sat on it, I think my apple tree will bounce back. Neighbor had several broken branches on his Aspens

I do not live In Idaho, but I was browsing all of City Data and notice a post y'all are getting snow. Wow, it is only the first part of October, kind of early. I personally love snow. Here in Arkansas it has been a good seven years since we really had any snow to speak of. I'm ready for cooler temperatures it is a muggy, humid 75 degrees here right now (according to my thermometer).

No snow, just sun and clouds
Well, not all parts of ID got snow. Just the high elevations. Us down here along the Clearwater River had no precipitation. I was out working on my hot house. In a tee shirt no less.
