Default Lewiston/Religions

We are considering relocating from the Midwest to Lewiston. Can anyone tell my about the Mormon influence in the Lewiston area? Is it predominant?

Thank you.

Hi, I grew up in Lewiston and have lived most of my life here.

There is LDS churches in Lewiston but they are small in comparison to the mainstream Christian churches here. They are no where near as large as LDS churches in southern and south-eastern Idaho. In fact there isn't much in the way of LDS in the entire northern half of the state.

The predominant churches in Lewiston (and the surrounding area) are non-demoninational Christian churches that mostly focus on 'preaching, teaching and healing'. I guess you could call them Prodestant. LDS isn't favorably received in Lewiston in general.

I know there are at least two LDS churches but they aren't large in comparison.
