how far will i have to travel to go dirtbiking?
i will be living in the caldwell area! hopefully no more that 45 min or so!
when does the season end for dirtbiking? is there an end? maybe there are certain year-round trails?

There's a track ten minutes south of boise on Pleasant Valley Road, not sure if its a club or not. There is another track track up on Bogus Basin Road about five minutes from Boise, could also be a club, i think they run year round if there is no snow.

The places that i mentioned are used mostly for races i think, but i know there are a lot of public trails up near idaho city, about 30 minutes east of Boise, or up in the McCall area, Unless you race though i don't think the first places i mentioned would work, when i said club i meant team

I have a 2003 XR400 that is also street licensed. Lots of trails around here, but most of them require street licensed vehicles I'll be glad when I finally get out of this state (CA). I'm sure the riding is awesome in ID. Sorry I can't help with specific areas in Boise/Caldwell.

Riding
Hey Dennis,
I take offense to not liking Carnegie it is great in the winter (though I am biased lived in Livermore up until 8-22-07) Hollister was better and bigger though Clear creek kicked butt. Let me know if you find somewhere close I sold my KX500 but still have a MX quad and my enduro whcih I hope to swith over to Super Moto. I heard there is some place out off 55 past Nampa.
