What's the water quality like in Idaho? I have read several reports that the water is pretty bad, is this true? What areas have better/worse water?

I've never had a problem with water quality in the Boise area. I do know that Meridian has fairly hard water, as do areas in Boise who use Capital water rather than United, but the quality itself hasn't ever been an issue that I am aware of. As for the rest of the state, I have no idea.
I found this page with lots of links to various sites that might help. Links |

The water in Boise is actually some of the better that i've had, In Easten idaho theres little flakes of stuff floating in the water, could just be American Falls, maybe not the whole region. Just glad water isn't like in Butte (tastes like a swimming pool)
