We need to see some walls! It's the day after tomorrow!

Make sure you create a space inside the shop where you can set up camp while you're working on the house. You can create a partition where you can set up cots, a table, and other necessities for bare-bones overnight stays. Besides being fun, it will be really useful for you in order to evaluate the best location for the house itself.

rhust,

Hope you don't mind I pop in and say hello. We just closed on 22 acres outside of Cambridge last spring. We had been window shopping online for a couple years before finally plunging in and taking a road trip. It wound up being a grueling 56 hour turnaround from Long Beach, CA. but it proved to be well worth the effort. We originally stayed overnight up in Council but found the town just didn't have a real welcoming feel to it. Kinda hard to explain, but something definitely felt off. Spent the next afternoon down in Cambridge and it was like we were in an entirely different state. The folks were beyond friendly and things just felt right.

While we intended for that trip to be the first of many to get the feel of the different geographic regions, we're impulse shoppers, and on all of of 3rd property walk we saw that tree covered parcel with the beautiful creek and no neighbors in sight and the wife was suddenly looking at me with the same look I was giving her. We're about 15 miles back into the canyon off hwy 71 where east Pine Creek and West Pine creek join up.

Hope you don't mind if I cyberstalk you so to speak. We'll be ready to do some building in a year or two and will be looking for referrels.

Regards,

Brett

Congrats on the new property. Since I have not posted progress, here is what it looks like from last weekend.

We planted a few trees last fall, and are planning on planting a bunch more this spring.
