Hi, I know this is a bit older of a post but I just wanted to forwarn you. NO on Burley!! I was in 6th grade my mom moved us there I was 11. It was horrible it was so small but there is a darker side. I got into so much crap living there drinking, smoking, pot, fighting, oh my list shall go on, there is a big drug problem there as well. I am not blaming the town for it alone. But it has nothing for kids and it is very cliquish (Sp?) and if you were not born there then its tough making friends so as I did went with the accepting crowd which was the wanna be gangstas, hoods, whatever your word for it is. It got so bad my mom had to send me back to Poky to live with my grandma. (No my mom really tried she was not a bad parent, I was just outta control). I personally will never return to that town ever. I get ill even passing through it. Albion is near Burley but as stated above very very small I went to school in Declo at one point in my moms desperation and it seriously was the size of an elementary school yet it was grades k-12 and if I remember right that is where the Albion kids go to school.

I also grew up in Burley and graduated from Burley High School. Growing up it was actually a pretty good place to be. Slow-paced and friendly. Once I was a teenager it was a little isolated and it can be difficult if you are not LDS. Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed growing up in a small town. There is no industry, no downtown, few restaurants...it's a farming community. I was one of few kids that didn't have to get up at 4am to move hand lines before going to school in the morning! I remember being very worried about what sort of education I had received, but I was surprised by how well-prepared I was for college, the teachers at Burley High really are involved and concerned about their students.
