Burdell...My daughter is 1/4 Navajo, 1/4 Shoshone, 1/4 Irish, 1/4 Armenian. She could pass for an Asian girl if it wasn't for the kinky hair that she gets from the Shoshone part. She has the eyes, and face of an Asian and the great skin tone of Native, she never burns unlike the Irish in me fry fry. My son doens't look anything Asian but looks totally Shoshone slight Asian eyes.

Didn't they do some blood test on some of the Native Nations to see if they were decendents of the ppl that crossed the land bridge?

Your daughter sounds like an American to me

Yes, from what I've read there've been DNA tests that have linked Native Americans to Asian peoples.

I used to work for a French company, my manager brought his wife to the office one day and found it amusing introducing the staff to her as we had people of Scottish, Irish, Austrian, Italian, and Ukrainian heritage , I'd never really given it much thought until then, seemed like a 'regular' American kinda place to me

Actually, there are two theories regarding the classifications of Native American's.

One theory is based on the findings of the Clovis People in New Mexico. Scientists believed that 11,500 years ago, these people crossed over a land bridge from Siberia to Alaska and who eventually migrated to North, Central and South America.

But another theory sprang up when scientists "found" (and I use this term lightly) bones that were even older then the Clovis People. These bones were dated 12,500 years old.

This new theory suggested that there are other indian nations that came to the Americas from Polynesia by boat. Thus the Asian theory.

So, there are believed to be two distinct groups. One group stemming from Asia and the other stemming from Europe.

To Fear God---- To know that the word is of truth, to know that ones walk should be as they say. That ol' saying " You can talk the talk but can you walk the walk" I personally try to do my best too walk the walk as i teach it based upon the New Test. and know that the old Test. has great value Its like a puzzle Piece.

"Fear God"-- Don't go teaching others what the word says and then go jack your self up all week at the bar-the boss's wife- and sell dope to your neighbors----Dont play church on Sundays. and act like your a God fearing person. that is to "fear God" what it says in the word by acting as such is why one would Fear God. It is not to Litterly Fear God such as fearing " Chuckie or freddie- the movies" a diff kind of fear.

Much Peace and Blessings

KJG, Very well put. I started reading the Bible for the first time 2 years ago and decided start front to back and the first time through didn't get much the second WoW there was history for why things happen and what has happened and where people come from.
The O.T. can give us alot of understanding of the Middle East. Understanding different cultures and moving forward is what is best for the world learn from others mistakes and try to improve and make it better.

Unfortunately, moving anywhere you could not be accepted. We are a white family and I remember we went up to Spokane and we are causal jeans and t-shirt family. My son was 14 and going through this heavy metal look spikes, black clothes, messy hair this look drove his dad crazy. We went into a restaurant and this guy was standing in front of us with his family about 45 yrs. he was looking my son up and down, pacing in front of us totally irritated. It took all I could not to say to him at least his not dating your daughter. I guess my point is different makes people uncomfortable and that can even be the color of your skin or how you dress we all experience it even us whiteys.
We have a business man here in our small town that is black and his wife is white they have 5 children and she has been mother of the year at least 9 years straight. He has respect for his family and it shows, he loves where he lives, is apart of the community and has no hate from others. Must admit at first meeting him and his wife was a little shocked due too mostly a white town , he has showed himself to be a honest descent person and that you just don't look at him and his wife being mixed raced we look beyond. I do believe it has alot to due with the way you carry and conduct yourself. I say try Idaho we are a great state.
By the way now at 17 my son is totally 70's Ty dye,Jimi Hendrix, baggy pants and hard working. My husband & I can relate to him alot better!!!

We recently relocated here from the east. I see little evidence of racism here. There is a bias toward people who work hard.
Folks in our neighborhood generally seem nice. Unfortunately a couple of close neighbors are grouches. That can happen anywhere.
After we moved here, several friends and relatives from other states asked about neo-*****, militias, etc. That comes from ignorance and headlines from years back. There was a well known neo-nazi outfit here, they were put out of business quite a few years back and I think the head honcho is currently residing in The Hereafter.
FWIW, drivers here are very courteous, they use turn signals and let people in. People in supermarkets are courteous, almost all say "excuse me" even if they haven't gotten in anyone's way.
This is one of the few places I've been where I've seen people stop and help someone whose load fell off their truck, stuff like that. I think there's more of a pioneer spirit here, or what remains of it after years of "civilization."
Don't expect California type socialist laws here. Idaho hasn't been ruined.

Thank you !! It seems to be a place i will completely make a effort to check into on a serious level. I can say i dislike people who find their selfs to be more worthy then others. The judgement and disrespect all those lables people try to tag ya with for being a good, honorable person who acually cares. I was told not long ago that "I love and care to much and to deep" because I would much rether be sitting on a street cornor letting a Homeless person or family know they have NOT been forgotton by all of us and they are worthy even being homeless, I believe there is a purpose for everything that happens....and stuff as such. I am litterly tired of trying to live in the "World" that shows no mercy and i would say that the GOV. has made it possible for Society to be accepting to all the derogatory going ons. I recmember when a Murder- vile rape would bring forth the pains of the victim in the viewers soul. and about 10 years ago there was vile VILE murder that happen to a 8 or 9 year old girl commited by her best friend the boy next door and he even took part in the search to come find out the sweet child had been put under the boys bed, and my boys had no reaction except that was wrong. nothing strikes anyone radically any longer its all accepted. My daughter is now being home schooled and says "she chooses to live like Lil house on the prairie- (spelling) so everyone can be helpful and strangers are family as they share and she dont need car she will take the horse or walk, bathing in the river is find with her she 11.....if a 11 year old can figure it out why cant our so called brillent elders of society ?? Dont know why i went here with this rant but i hope it makes a diff. some where.

Default Don't think so!!

Just got side tracked!! We all find history in different sources. Sad to think whenever the Bible is mentioned its about religion. So, back too whats so racist about Idaho!!
It sounds like everyone agrees its a Good State to live in if we can only hang on to that title
