Default Looking at Wendell area for relocating, good for kids?

I am moving to this area of Idaho to be close to family. Wendell looks like a nice little town close enough to possibly work in Twin. Any advice out there?

We were looking at Wendell too but it was too run down for us. It is very very small. I have a friend that lives there and she loves it. She raises Arabians and Ostriches there but she is close to the interstate. You will be about 20-25 miles from Twin via I-84. I always get off there at exit 157 and take 1950 down to Bob Barton HWY to get to Buhl then to Castleford.

If you have family close by have them take pics and send them to you. But then again you can move out to get your foot in the door and keep looking for what you really want.

Good Luck, I hope that it all works out for you.

I have lived here for 40 years. I had 4 children in the schools here. Wendell schools at one time were considered the best in Idaho. They have lots of school sports but are lacking in the arts. The College of Southern Idaho has extension classes offered for kids and adults.
Now, there are classes with 20 hispanic to 5 whites. I think the demigraphics are wrong on the population charts.
If this doesn't bother you, then wendell is a great place to live.
We actually have one of the lowest crime ratings in Idaho
It is 19 miles to the Twin Falls exit.
There is so much to do here in the way of recreation, fishing, boating, camping and summer sports. Wendell has a public swimming pool. All you need is the time to do it.
Grocery prices are much higher in town but there is a Walmart 10 miles away. Gas prices are on average with everyone else. Hospitals within 10 miles and 2 doctor's clinics and a dentist in town.
On any night of the week you can smell cows. The locals call it the smell of money.
