ATV riding in Moscow, ID
Is Moscow friendly to ATV riding? My family rides and we are considering relocating.

I think the better question is, are there any parts of Idaho that AREN'T ATV friendly? If it weren't for ATV's, I think half our kids in this area wouldn't make it to the bus stops in winter...
As long as you're not right IN town, where normal suburban or small town traffic rules would apply, you should be OK. NOBODY, in Sandpoint or anywhere else, wants to have ATV's dicing it up with automobiles in town...

Last year we camped at Laird Park, not too far east of Moscow.
Great atv trails everywhere. Thick forrest single track and clean air.
I am taking the family back in June and we are riding every trail we can find.

Moscow really isnt TOO atv friendly. It is actually more of a party town. It is surrounded by farms, and parties. Just because Pullman Washington is just a little bit down the road, and of coarse moscow has UofI right there. So you may just have to go a little bit out of the way...

It all depends on where you go...I live south of Moscow. There is a lot of tribal land, which is private property. Also, if the land is owned by Potlatch corp, you have to pay a yearly fee to use it. There have been a lot of environmentalists who have been complaining of damage. My family likes to off road..(4X4)..It is hard to find a place to play.

Thank you for that answer. That is what I was wondering I currently live in the socal hi desert and the environmentalists are pushing us out. I want a place that we are welcomed.
Thanks again
