Default Moving 2 Idaho

Hello, my family is relocating to Boise from California, Cali is very diverse in its population, I would like to find an area with that same feel. The reason for the relocation is just that we want to slow down the tempo for the kids.

The North End of Boise has a more diverse feel, especially compared to most other Idaho cities, but still probably not as diverse as you are used to. My suggestion would be to stay closer to the city center for greatest diversity. We have found Boise to be a very welcoming community for families.

BSU is basically downtown Boise. The drive to Eagle would really depend on where in Eagle and what time of the day you would be commuting. The traffic is heavy coming into Boise from the west in the morning and out of Boise in the evening, but I have no idea how long it would take. IMO the city has not caught up yet to the trmendous growth, the traffic is much worse than it should be for a city this size. You may try doing and "Eagle" search on this forum as I am sure there has been discussion. Good luck!

slgalindo - like idahomama said, it depends on where in Eagle you're leaving from, and it also depends on the time of day you leave.

That said, expect around 30 minutes for your trip from Eagle to BSU, +/- 10 minutes.

Then, give yourself another 15-20 minutes to find a place to park.

Eeeh, ok. It's not always that bad. If you get to BSU early (7:30 ish) then you should be able to find a spot easy. If you like to sleep in (like me) and don't start class until 9:40 or 10:40, then it will take longer. Parking can be easy to find over by the stadium, but then you could have a long walk to class. Parking over by the Math/Education/Morrison Center bldgs are harder to find, but a shorter walk to most classes.

Slowing down the tempo: just the pace of life, since my son has autism giving him some time to grow without hectic life of the city.
