Anywhere between CDA to Sandpoint are there any organizations, events or other scheduled happenings strictly for the elderly? Classes or other organized events maybe where they get picked up or can join together to meet, socialize and shop, learn, or take classes?

Not talking about nursing homes but other programs that may be available for the elderly?

tried searching but couldnt find anything particular

thanks in advance!

The Kroc Center has senior activities and regular meetings. I don't have the specifics but a search on the Kroc center website might give you a good idea. If not, I'd call there and ask for more info on the senior program.

We love the tourist boat cruise from city beach in Sandpoint. You need to be able to board the boat, via a few steps and the crew will help. This is amazing value...$20. per senior for about 2 hours that includes talks about wildlife, history and geology of the area. The boat was custom built by the captain and the tremendous job he and his wife do is impressive. You can find it through the visitor center and I hesitate to say the name, least someone think I have an vested interest.

Oh, it also has a dinner cruise and goes through the 12th of September.
