I found this thread tonight. I hadn't seen it before. I was just wondering what links any might have to show more of the area around Sage Lakes Golf Course?
It's north of Idaho Falls, near the river, for those who may be confused.
cleosmom, I still draw a blank about which subdivision did flood. I know it was a mess for a while. I wonder if a check through KIFI-TV 8 or KIDK using the neighbor flooding would yield which neighborhood it was?
I know it had to be fixed by the developer, but still I think people who may be looking to buy homes in that particular subdivision should know there was flood in 2006.
Just to be clear, that subdivision was on the south side of town.
And in a year, who knows what new developments we'll be talking about?
Maybe there should be a new thread for the proposed 700-2,000 homes around the Idaho Falls Country Club (www.IFCountryClub.com)? (broken link) How many cars/daily can one road handle?

Maybe the out-of-state developers would like to read local feedback, let alone the questions of people considering moving to Idaho Falls, especially as it was my understanding that at least a few in that Park City/Provo development group were planning to move into the development.

Of course, I might be wrong, about who would live in that development, which is why it would be GREAT if those who want to develop the area would comment here.

Anyway, I look for a thread about this before too many more months.
But, more exciting to me, are the possibilities of housing that Snake River Landing (
Snake River Landing) will offer downtown probably within a year, and if Taylor's Crossing completes their signature development, Taylor's Crossing on the River (www.tarylorscrossing.com (broken link)) will ever build what they committed to build, there would be so many different housing options to discuss.
A 13 story condo on the river is absolutely a new choice in living for people moving to Idaho Falls. I'm one who greatly believes in what the Walker Brothers and McNeil have offered via Taylor's Crossing. And even though one person out-of-state, who is consulting on the gardens to go at TCOR keeps reassuring me not to give up, I do become concerned the reason TCOR has never been finished on time is because the $ got diverted into the Washington County, UT (St. George) area development.
I think the Walkers are committed to Idaho Falls and all they said they would deliver. I just wonder about the high costs of the the thousands of acres McNeil bought in southern UT and the turn around time until the cash flow is such that all of the great buildings to be built in Idaho Falls will be. I won't be surprised if other developments build some of them.
And just to be perfectly clear, some people think all the land between I-15 - Snake River, south of Broadway and North of Pancheri is Taylor's Crossing. That isn't correct.
Renassiance Partners owns the whole development, of which Taylor's Crossing on the River is one. There is a small area, about 37 acres, owned by KATSAP, LLC of Seattle, along with Kirk Hansen, Conrad and Bischoof etc. that are partners in Renassiance.
To the average person it probably doesn't matter that Starbucks and Ruby River are in Renassiance, not Taylor's Crossing or Snake River's Landing, as they are so close. However, to developers and those perhaps wishing to open a business or live in the new urbanism design, those "small details" are huge.
What is happening with Victorian Village now? Someone asked me that within the past month and I am not up-to-date as I probably should be.
It's great to have choice. It will be better when our choices can FINALLY include the lofts, condos and other homes in Snake River Landing and the 13 story tower of condos in Taylor's Crossing on the River.
And don't forget the Outlet Mall, at Sunnyside Exit. Activity is starting to happen there. Housing apparently has all sorts of options. I haven't seen anything official, so I don't can't say for sure. But, it appears that those who might want to live on the west side looking at the east for their views, and drive across Sunnyside to work near the Grand Teton Mall, EIRMC, Mtn. View, or all the new businesses in Chantilly Park etc., it may be quicker to drive from the west to east than from some areas of Ammon to Idaho Falls.
It should be an exciting year as I think The Super Toyota Dealership is ready to start building on their property at the Snake River Exit. Plans for the other developments will probably be made much more public when that Toyota starts to build. I know Land Rover is watching Idaho Falls closely, as are other companies. Whether Land Rover would locate close to Toyota or on the other side of Sunnyside, I don't know. But, I do know Land Rover in Idaho Falls is more than ideal chit chat.
