Looks like they unintentionally made a "duplex". That stick going right down the middle of the nest is an issue. They have been tugging at it in an attempt to reposition. It is secured under the other sticks. His and her side I guess.....

"Seriously. We gotta get a contractor in here. I mean, who in their right mind would put a wall here?"

I think it's more like "I told him not to put that branch there!"

It's extremely cool that Sandpoint welcomed these birds as part of their community!
In another place, another city might have simply destroyed the old nest and forced these wild birds to move on.

But Sandpoint didn't, and if New York has it's Pale Male peregrines, Sandpoint now has it's ospreys, who are already well loved. The Sandpoint birds will never have to face all the trials and tribulations Pale Male and his many mates suffered.

Good on the Sandpointers! Hats off to all those who helped make this possible!

…don't worry about that stray stick. They'll figure it out.

Am I the only one who doesn't have sound on this anymore? A few days ago I could hear them and now I can't hear a single thing. I've checked my computer settings. I have sound on other sites. ???

I checked it for you and I do have sound. But right now it just sounds like wind blowing pretty hard.

Anyone know where they go at night, and why they don't hang at the nest?

Back when I worked in IT our PC guy would call it an "Organic Interface Error"...

Looks like the Ospreys traded in the duplex for a single home....the stick running across the middle is gone.
