Hi CD-NID,

I was hoping to see the Aurora tonight and am willing to drive a an hour and change if need be.

I am seeking advice on two things. One, is accessible dark sky spots. Two, would be places with wide views toward the north. The combination is the best I can hope for.

With the skies overcast as I type, I fear the closer to towns like Sandpoint, the worse the diffusion.

I saw some great photos taken from Dobson Pass last night. But that may be too far for me.

Thinking of either Heading North on 95 past Copeland or Driving up the East shore of Priest Lake toward Lion's Head.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
S.
