Yup.
And the predators that come into contact with humans learn not to fear them so much even when they still avoid people. I doubt anyone really knows now much coyotes, cougars, raccoons and other critters move in and out of the countryside into towns and back regularly. Bears, too.

I think that when the mothers bring their young with them, for the next generation, city and country become all one big territory for them with different advantages in either. It's worrisome, for sure, as suburbs sprawl into what was once wilderness.

Default Parents Remark About Social Media

I think this is long overdue. Repeatedly, the one thing all law enforcement have agreed upon, is the parents are NOT suspects. Some people have done amazing things to try to help these parents find their son. Helping parents who are hurting so much and desperate for help. I respect all who have shared info on Facebook, arranged to have Billboards made of this child or even tried to pray or do something to help comfort the parents.

Then the are others who have written some horrible comments about the parents. Are they just Millennials who live mostly for their own gratification and that of their friends? IDK. These parents are Millennials except they aren't married, they haven't obtained several degrees and a six figure income, they don't have to wonder where to visit next weekend. They are parents who are desperate to know what happened to their son.

Maybe someone here can tell me, how come those with such hurtful, vile remarks think they need to post after articles, on Facebook or anywhere? How do those negative views help? Having the FBI not able to progress with something they were working on happens more than some think. This isn't a botched investigation. This child is one of too many each year that just disappear. Ed Smart was here over the weekend to talk about the Human Trafficking in every state in the U.S. (See my last post about Increased Gonorrhea in NID and a regional prostitution ring identified in Spokane).

Ed Smart was asked about DeOrr Jr. He said to keep his face and name so people see it. He says someone always knows what happened.

BanjoMike has offered a theory of a wild animal snatching the child and running off with him. That may well be what happened. If anyone is in the Leodore area and sees a matchbox toy car or something that doesn't make sense, please let the authorities know. The family went back over the weekend to search for any remains before winter.

Please watch the video. Do any of us have anything to add? Probably not; however, it might be worth sharing with some clueless people who think what they write doesn't hurt anyone.

You be the judge....

Default TX FIRM Taking Over P.I. Duties

A different P.I. firm from TX is assisting the family at this point. I have no knowledge of how come. I simply want to keep this updated.

It seems as if wild animals or stranger abduction are the best (?) options, if they can really rule out the adults in his family. I think it's extremely unlikely he's still alive, however.

I agree. Any scenario that would involve a kidnapping is now extremely remote. The area where the child disappeared from simply didn't have many people there who could have been involved, and it has never been a heavily used recreation spot.

Like a lot of places here, a visitor has to know about it to ever be able to find it. The tragedy of this is there is always that remotest of possibilities that must be considered.

When weighed against the likeliest possibilities, however, I still think the greatest possibility of all was a big cat got the baby and carried him off. Cougars are stealth specialists, and are good climbers. They are the north American leopards, and typically stash their prey in a tree. A 2-year-old child would be no more to them than an elk calf or a deer fawn, or a wild sheep half-grown lamb. Deer are their preferred prey.

I can't help but wonder if any of the searchers who combed the area ever spent much time looking up. I've been in a lot of pine forest, and I know I don't, as they're all covered with downfalls on the ground and lots of downed branches that will trip a person frequently. I know that I tend to follow on any trail that threads its way through the tangle, and I know a cougar doesn't, especially when its carrying prey. Cougars lurk around trails as often as they use them.

I feel immense sympathy for DeOrr's family.
If I was in their shoes, I know I wouldn't be any less reluctant to give up all hopes for their child than they. I sincerely hope they find answers to all their questions, even though I doubt they ever will.

I selected this link because the pictures show those unfamiliar with the area what those who have searched have dealt with. The little creek alone has been searched by divers three times. Please look at the pics.

In a national press release issued about an hour ago abduction by an animal or a stranger have both been ruled out.

This link doesn't mention animal abduction being ruled out but others do. IDK if the TX group arrived on the animal abductions on their own or after talking to experts. I do find it interesting the sheriff of Lehi County is unavailable next week.

An accidental death someone was afraid to tell others about? It wouldn't be the first time, but I have no specific information.
I somehow think answers will be found.

Here is more about no animal attack or no animal abduction. Again, I don't know who the experts were who convinced the TX firm that is investigating.

Here's the problem with searches. And a lot of other things in life, too.
If anything, experts are more prone to it than amateurs.

Mike,

I want to make sure I understand your message here. If experts are more prone to the mistakes, how can they call themselves experts?

I'm not trying to be difficult here, I just want to clearly understand how come professionals would make those errors more. Thanks ( and check out my next post).

I left KPVI on after that history making Packers-Cardinals game. I never watch KPVI news but somehow didn't want to change the channel. I don't know if more was released this afternoon or night or how KPVI arrived at their conclusions they did. What is written is the same as what was broadcast.

The family did NOT want to talk to the news after that information was released. The link contains more information about the family not knowing this information was going to be released today.
