Are you referring to tornadoes and storms in the summer?

We had a rare round of January tornadoes a couple of weeks ago! You never quite know what you're going to get with Missouri weather.

Not really Idaho related, but my aunt in Park City, Utah says they have more snow than they ever have before in the 27 years she's lived there. They have 7-9 feet on the flats (their monkey bars have disappeared) and the sides of their driveway are between 12-14 feet high. In addition, they are expected to get up to an additional 2 feet with each storm that moves through, and they are supposed to get something like 6-8 storms over the next 2 weeks.
I was just out skiing in the SLC/Park City area and while at Snowbird we had 3 feet fall in a little over a day. And at least another foot the next day, it was pure joy. And even better the canyon passes to Snowbird/Alta were covered by avalanches so we basically had the whole mountains to ourselves. Nothing beats Utah powder!

LOL the fun has not started yet. He is too busy plowing snow. Besides it is too dangerous right now because of the avalanche potential. Yesterday there was several avalanches . Two in our canyon and one up the highway just past Council. Highway was all plugged up. Tonight the roads clear as can be. You would never know we had had such a storm. THANK YOU ITD!!! Supposed to be another storm tomorrow.

Chris

4horseshoes.

We have some friends in the desert.Yucca Valley area. They say they hate the snow??? They do not understand how 32 degrees down there can feel freezing and up here that is a nice winter day.

Come on up we have a guest room. You can play in the snow all you want as long as you have both hands on a shovel. Sigh Another 8 inches over night. Back to shoveling out the dog pen they will be walking out if they wanted to.

One REALLY good thing about a day like this is how nice it feels when you are done and sitting in your warm houses drinking coffee or drink of choice and watching the softly falling snow. Smelling a good stew and fresh bread cooking and just enjoying life. Life is good up here.

Catch you all on the flip side of this day. Enjoy

Chris
