There were few skin heads in CDA to begin with. Just the vocal group (aryan nations) that were in Hayden. The compound was lost in a lawsuit, the founder Richard Butler is dead, and the skinheads have moved on, to Indiana I think. Although the city is something like 95% white, it is no more racist than any other city in the country.

Idaho Falls a dump farm community? I have heard many great things about Idaho Fall's strong economy with great professional jobs, and all of those farms in the I.F. area help feed your belly and the world, so think twice before you dog on farmers and/or farming communities.

I tried to give you some + rep Syringaloid. I'd say about 10 for what you wrote! Unfortunately, I couldn't give you another one so soon. But, thank you for thinking of eastern ID residents (relatives etc.) and farmers in general. I thought you helped focus the subject back to where it needed to be. And you defined state boundaries to someone who couldn't seem to remember what cities are in IDAHO !!

kgroce, two ideas about religion. First, you might want to check with each respective Chamber of Commerce and come up with some hard numbers vs. estimates. You may find it interesting that Idaho Falls native, Greg Carr and his Carr Foundation, acquired the property near Couer d'Alene to "change" the use of that land for a human rights center.

Secondly, did I misunderstand, or do you have someone you know currently living in Idaho Falls? I'm a little puzzled why that person wouldn't be able to help you more. Getting others views never hurts anyway.

As for schools, District #93 is essentially everything east/southesast in Bonneville County that isn't Idaho Falls. It includes Ammon, Iona, Ucon etc. By 2009, D93 will have opened 4 new elementary schools, which I think started construction around 2005-6. It is growing rapidly.

Idaho Falls School District, D#91, is growing, but slower. Although developments with new housing options, lowering utility bills and growth may change the rate at which it is growing. There are also private, Christian, Parochial Schools as well as Charters in Idaho Falls. There are Montessori schools too (probably in most Idaho cities).

You can learn more for yourself by visiting the websites of each school district in Bonneville County (I don't know what school district/districts cover the C'dA area).

Idaho Falls #91 - - www.d91.k12.id.us; and #93 - - www3.d93.k12.id.us

And there are regular jobs in Idaho Falls for regular people. It depends on your interests, talents and whether or not you want to own your own business.

Anyway, I hope this helps you, kgroce And WAY TO GO SYRINGALOID!!!

The entire state is terrible and everyone should move out. It would give me more of a selection when I get back there. Cheers everyone. It's cold there but lots of beautiful places. Was stationed north of Seattle and that place has just gotten way too expensive. Love the ocean though and trees. Rain...oh well it keeps it green.
