Last weekend of January I made my first trip to CDA to explore a possible move from Denver. Worked with Shaner and he has been great to work with. I had read other favorable postings about him, as well as informative postings from Shaner, and he has been giving me lots of help and answering my many questions about the area. If you need real estate help, I suggest you look him up.

One issue that seemed to come up a lot in posts about CDA was weather, specifically the long stretches of gray and the cold. I thought it was a non-issue and what I liked about the weather is the temps don't seem to swing as wildly as they do in Colorado. We may have more sunny days in CO but we also have some very cold temps and a lot more snow. My preference is the CDA weather with its smaller temperature swings and less snowfall so don't believe all the negative weather comments about CDA. Also liked the fact that other things besides the Denver Broncos were discussed in the media, so sick of hearing about the Broncos and how many times Peyton blows his nose each day

Long stretches of gray and cold? What on earth are you going on about? It's the second week of February and it's in the 50's.

Winter starts at Christmas and ends March 1st, if not sooner.

So yes, the climate here in CDA is nicer than any place I have ever lived or will ever live. Four seasons, all the same length and all of them nice.
