Default Construction in Couer d Alene

We are considering a move to area to be closer to Dad. Husband is a Painting Contractor, mostly new and custom homes. Is there a lot of building going on? I work in an elementary school, can do several types of work.
Just started researching, any input appreciated. Thanks

I'm no expert in the construction or real eastate market but it amazes me the number of homes (outrageoulsy expensive homes) that are continuing to be built when we have a glut of homes on the market that aren't selling. I go look at new homes all the time and many are just sitting there. Sames ones I walked or biked by last summer are still empty. Unless the economy really picks up I think alot of this bldg is going to have to drop off. Someone somewhere is losing alot of their investment.

The high priced homes in the CdA area will likely never stop with the amount of second homes being built there. It's such a nice area and the secret is out. It'll be the Flagstaff of the NW. Anyone who can afford to have a second home there, will.

Yep, tons of building. Not so much in CDA, but more so in the outlying areas, Rathdrum, Post Falls, Spirit Lake, Athol.
