Middle Fork of the Payette River (late Summer 2008)
This spot is about 12 miles north of Crouch on FS 698.
I stood on the boulder at the far right and pulled a little Rainbow out of the hole behind it on the first drop. At 8" it was the only catch of the day, but it was feisty, and there's no such thing as a bad day fishing in Idaho! 
Took this with my cell phone. Now it's the wallpaper. |

This thread has some gorgeous pictures of Idaho - thanks to all the contributors for sharing.
We are considering a relocation, and this thread has convinced me to put Idaho on the list of possibilities.

I am also dying to get out of Texas. Idaho seems like it would be a great choice for me. I did post a thread on here a few months back about what area would be great but with little snow. Now I know I'd rather be where there are more trees and mountains, and I'll take the snow.
I'm looking for a small town, but I don't want to live in town. Wow, I wish I could pack up and move tomorrow, but it will take time. Darn!!
Good luck to you and who knows, maybe we'll both end up in Idaho one of these days.  |

True wilderness here, awesome. Really the NW corner seems to me the most picturesque of the lower 48's!
