2C or not 2C

It has always been considered rude to close the gap and tailgate in Boise traffic. Some newcomers recognize the advantage of this consideration while others just use the extra space to save 30 seconds during their drive.
I’m surprised the infamous “2C” driver has not been brought up yet.

Boise drivers are considerate for the most part. Funny that when there is a speeding, lane weaving, tailgating, rude, itiotic driver buzzing around, most often than not they have Utah plates.

I used to drive a city buss in Boise and we used to say you can tell what county some one was from by how they drove. I found it to be very true. I also had more bad drivers do silly things then I have seen driving in any other state I have lived in. no one state takes it all belive me they all have there good and bad but as the area grows so do the problems just a matter of the best . But for ever bad out of state driver I bet you could find the same amount from the state. I also know that most from bigger cities know how to drive in traffic it is the ones that have not had to deal with it in a bit or never had to that can not deal with it . Or the commuters rushing to or from work because they did not give them self’s enof time. But the craziest I saw was the ones doing over 70 on the ice covered 84 and connector. Man how may cars a day when snowy or ice run off the road and yet it is every winter try counting them some day is just nuts!

Traffic here is a laugh and a breeze compared to other cities. Rush hour lasts maybe an hour, but some roads need to be widened to handle the increasing traffic.
Drivers are nothing like the bad drivers in the other Northwest cities I have lived in and certainly not as horrible as the infamous Utah drivers that have been mentioned in this thread before.

My second was a surprise cuz I didn't think that my car could go that fast with it's carb problems and I was doing 75 in a 55 on HWY 91 halfway between Blackfoot and Firth, this happen in '99. Nice officer cute too I have been clean ever since and have had no accidents.
My husband was born and raised in Shelley ID and he has more tickets than I can count. He has totalled more vehicles than what should be possible but he still drives. Most of the wrecked vehicles were farm related and the tickets all involve driving long haul.
I drive the speed limits and what the conditions call for and I get flipped off and dirty looks from the Natives of Idaho. I leave early so I don't have to rush, don't tailgate and try not to get mad at the other drivers, which is why I stay home most of the time I have many stories about Idahoans that have had too many accidents and tickets and they were born and raised here. So please don't say that it is the "transplants" that are the problem.
Oh yeah, my mom is 65 and has never ever had a ticket in her life and she grew up driving in Cali and still lives there & my dad has had 3 his whole life.

Never speed on hwy 91- they always get you! lol. I'm a Blackfoot native, and my brother was the worst! He totalled 2 cars by the time he was 20. My cousins were even worse. I can't even count how many times they totalled cars and were arrested for drunk driving. Out of all the places I've lived, Idaho was the most laxed about driving laws, especially drunk driving.

The only place I have ever feared driving was in LA. I dreaded it everytime I had to go there! I remember getting stuck in traffic at 10 pm on a Sunday night and it took me 2 hours to go 10 miles. I don't know how people can do that everyday. It really makes you appreciate the movie 'Falling Down'.
