Idahomama,

What can you tell me about Sandpoint, Id or C'Adelaine? (sp?). We, like you, are very concerned about finding a place with good schools. Want a med. sized community with lots of outdoor activities, mtn. areas. Also like good food, good wine and a community feel with cultural events. Any suggestions for Id or do you think CO is a better choice?

Northern ID is very very beautiful. It hasn't been a consideration for us because we are looking for more sunshine in the winter than the area provides. I have heard there are some good schools, they have an IB World school affiliation now, and i heard it is a great program. I don't have much insight as far as living there as we have never considered it. Sorry!

In my opinion the winters are gloomy in Northern Idaho, the days of sunshine in the December and January months are very low compared to Boise. Boise still has a lower number of winter sunshine days than somewhere like Durango or even Steamboat Springs. If I live someplace cold in the winter, I need my sunshine!

one of my brothers lives in sandpoint, he uses a sun lamp to help him for lack of the sun in the winter. alot of retired L.A. law enforcement live there, great mind set.
