Default Older Single, Looking at retirement

Hi, not retired yet but will be soon enough.......!!! Need a city in Idaho that has lot going for "singles"

I like bicycling/walking and artsy downtowns and such! Not so much into bars, but love coffeeshops, and maybe some outdoor dining now and then.

I would ideally like to live in the heart of the downtown if anyone can give me info on any cities in ID like this.......Please also give me zipcodes to put into my rental research.

Thank You

Thumbs up 83814

Try zip code: 83814

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - nestled on the shore of a most beautiful natural, glacial lake in the northern area of the state - on I-90 just east of Spokane, WA.

I know LOTS of retirees who have flocked there and love it.

Spent 18+ years exploring hiking trails in the surrounding mountains, fishing in her lakes, and enjoying her eclectic downtown.
If you're into golf, there's a one-of-a-kind course that offers a 'floating' tee - yes, it's actually floating on the lake!
Skiing is nearby, and if you should take a tumble that needs a doctor's look-see, Kootenai Memorial Hospital/Medical Center gives A+ care.

I would, if given the chance.

Good luck to you in your move decision, whatever that turns out to be.

Look at Sandpoint; 83864 Check out www.sandpoint.com or www.sandpointonline.com

You should note that real estate has gone WAY up in the past 6 years, but still "affordable" for many people, especially if you're not hung up on square feet. You can live within walking distance of downtown easily, and you're walking distance from the lake, etc.
