[mod note] Enough about the California's governor. The issue is more complex than the policies of one person. You've expressed your viewpoint, more than once. Let's not go too far "off topic", and partisan politics are. [/mod note]

To get things back on topic...

How to survive in Coeur d'Alene if I'm earning $13-14/hour?
Interesting choice of words. You can "survive" on $0/hr. Many people do. If you mean "live", than adjust your lifestyle to fit your budget. The most important thing is, remember that "$13-14/hour" is temporary. It can go away overnight or can be a stepping stone to something greater. Never settle for less than you can earn. Improve your skills, network and dream big. Make yourself marketable and pursue a better life. You also need to know when enough is enough. Not everyone needs a 3000+ sq. ft. home, a new car or all the shiny toys. Imagine a realistic goal, achieve that goal and live for yourself, not your paycheck. That is living and not just surviving.

Good luck and apologies for giving such a "Dad" lecture.

If you are moving here with a for sure $14 an hour job (to start?), you are golden. I live quite comfortably on a $15 an hour job.
