I’ve been to Hidden Springs twice. Last summer and years ago, when they were first promoting the place. They were still building last summer and working on the second pool. I wouldn’t describe the place as “blissful”.

Sounds like you plan on moving. Did you find out what the HOA fees are out there?
What is the history of fee increases and levies? I wanted to ask these questions last summer but couldn’t find anyone to ask.

The place is in a quiet location but it is a congested drive to get to many other areas in Boise or the valley. It’s a bad drive to the interstate during most of the day.

The first visit allowed me to talk to a promoter and about all they had were conceptional pictures to sell the place. The lady said all mail would have to go to the PO Box and none was allowed at the home. The reason? To force the neighbors to met and talk to each other. The word “ force” is a quote.
So, if I were thinking of moving there I would hang out at the post office and talk to those getting the mail. I would wander to construction sites and talk to the workers as to their take on the building practices, and whatever they felt like saying.

They have loud concerts, so called, by the post office that can be heard all evening through out the “village” and I would find that tiresome.

Depending on where you will working, the commute might not be the easiest every day. I have a friend that lived out there, he worked downtown, and this year he finally gave up and moved back in towards the city. He felt like he was just wasting too much time in the car. It does have a suburban feel to me, regardless of the image they are trying to project.
