Default How cold is it?

O.K. so I've been told that Idaho would be a very fitting place for me to move.
I'm hoping to vacation there this summer to check it out, but I'm begining to think that maybe I should go during the winter to see how cold it really is, HA HA. I mean I lived in central New York State and I've delt with the cold before, but presently live in Arizona. Has my blood thinned out too much? O.K. what area of Idaho has the mildest wiinter?

Default Not that Bad...

Southcentral Idaho is the most mild. Anywhere from Twin Falls up to Emmett is fairly mild. We do get cold, but below zero is not common. Winters average 30-35 degrees on the cold days, but we can and have Golfed in January (bring your Jacket) Boise, Glenns Ferry, and Hagerman are even more mild than others, with Hagerman usually one of the wrmest in the State. We are in the middle of a desert, so not alot of snow 12-18" is average per year. Summers can be hot, with temperatures over 100 very common, and even a few days up to 105-110 have been seen...Stay away from Burley east to Idaho Falls, cold cold winters

What about Ceour D'Alene?

It is much farther nprth and according to this site... It can get a lot of snowfall... but I am wondering how it is in summer as well... It looks like a great place to live, yet I wonder about the job market... any thoughts.
