Question Good versus bad builders of Idaho homes

Any opinions on Aspen Homes? How about High Desert? I've seen warnings on here about a couple different builders, but I'd appreciate the good/bad on these.

Thanks!

My brother lives in an Aspen home...It's OK - the guy does go cheap on some stuff and over-charges for "extras"...but all in all, it's an OK home...An ex-friend of mine personally new the High Desert guy, don't know for sure, but probably a better builder choice - I believe he would give you more "custom" options....

But for sure STAY AWAY from Hubble...total garbage....

I'm a real estate agent and have been working with High Desert. I can tell you from experience that they are a great builder. They have great attention to detail and have so many extras included. They are also very ''green'' and energy-efficient homes.

Where are you looking for a home? Let me know, I can point you in the direction of some great subs.... even some where there are building lots, if you are interested in having one built for you.

Stone Ridge Homes is located in Meridian and has a great reputation! The owner is retired from the military and very ethical.

Please see Homeowners For Better Building. (Hobb) and HADD (homeowners Against Deficient Dwellings) are 2 national grassroots organizations.
I would always advise people to do all their homework before making their choice.
Good luck.

I like this article written by builder Tedd Benson regarding the pathetic building standards of today:

A dismal standard - Fine Homebuilding Article
