Default which road would you take?

We're finally getting in the car next weekend to finish the move to Idaho- Middleton to be exact- and having never drove to Idaho before, I'm curious which route would be the best bang for our buck. Something fast enough, but scenic enough. We will have dogs with us so stopping a bunch of places isn't an option but after already driving 800 miles we don't want to be bored with the view either.

Rock Springs, WY to Middleton, I'm open to suggestions.

I drove on hwy 30 to I-15 then I-86. It was definitely more scenic then I-80 to I-84. You drive through Pocatello on I-15 and its a gorgeous city, surrounded by mountains.

I bet you'll be glad to get out of Rock Springs with all that road construction going on. Plus near the I-80, I-84 interchange there is a ton of construction, down to one lane each way and it gets backed up in a hurry.

Get off the freeway near Burley and take Hwy 30 all the way to Bliss.
If you have time stop at Branbury Hots springs near Buhl and soak your feet.
Good luck and congratulations on your move.

Hwy 30 in Southeast Idaho (mentioned above) is pretty cool. Lots of mountains around and it should be pretty green. Soda Springs is cool - maybe you can see the geyser if you're lucky??
