Default Possible Relocating

Hello,
1st time poster here. We might be moving to Mountain Home via the Military and would love any info anyone might have on it, for example housing, weather, and so on.
Thank You

Just there a few weeks ago.
It must get real windy there.
Even the new homes were missing shingles from all the roofs.
Great schools in town, looked brand new.

I was there for a wedding a few weeks ago as well. It is a nice small city on the edge of the desert. It does get windy there, windmills are going up in the surrounding hills. It seems like if not for the air force base and agriculture there wouldn't be much of a city there, but it does seem like a nice place. Kind of lower elevation than much of the state, so I'd guess winters might be milder and summers hotter than much of the state. Great small town feel and the schools do look very nice. I have an acquaintance who works in the schools there, and likes it very much. Sorry, that's about all I know.

If you need more entertainment, shopping, culture, etc. Boise is less than an hour away.
