I have enjoyed reading on the site. I don't comment much, but they have some good topics to read about. There are a few users who get into some heavy debates.

I've found IdahoFallsToday.com to have a wide range of both liberal and conservative views, but most seem to be middle of the road. They even welcome my liberal views with open arms, though not everyone agrees with me.

As far as I can tell there have only been two individuals on the site whose accounts were suspended due to attacking other users - which is against the site rules. The two previous comments were likely from the two who had been suspended.

All in all, a community becomes what those involved make of it, and it is probably the best site I've seen for the area so far.

The facts readily available to anyone who views the content of that site totally contradict your statements. Attacking is the primary activity on that site, and for the most part attackers are never suspended, they prevail. I'd advise folks to go read for yourself, but don't by any means take what you find as representative of the good people of South Eastern Idaho.

There are lots of bullies over there. I won't post there. If the new owner doesn't make the necessary corrections, they won't have anyone visiting.

I have loved idahofallstoday.com. I haven't seen any bullies - but a lot of good debates. I got an email once that said they have 1,000 people visit a day and growing. Its obvious that not all 1,000 comment, but still impressive.

I understand the emotions of someone who gets their hands slapped for breaking the rules. The negative comments here are likely from those who sign up accounts bogus just to slam the site. (something I've seen them do on idahofallstoday.com as well)

I've been with the site since the beginning, and am just glad that Joe Vandal started it up, and Joe Eagle has kept it running in the same format while making some good improvements.

I couldn't disagree more with the IFLZ bashers here: it is a truly discussion-oriented site. The only "bashing" that has gone on is when one member used foul language to describe other posters (calling them fat people who played with themselves!) and was reprimanded by the administrator and when another member accused a regualr poster of making threats and threatened to call the police. . . so if you can get past the occasional "drama queens", it is a really, really good site.

Yes, the discussion gets quite heated at times but the majority of the posts are quite civil. Take a look at the current posts about McCain's running mate to see disagreeing opinions coming together in a civil forum.

Interesting; the only true "attacks" I have witnessed resulted in the attackers being suspended. Maybe we are talking about two different sites?

We are most definitely talking about the same site. Having a reasonable discussion about what goes on on that site isn't possible there, sure would be nice if it could have been here.
