Default Fall is in the air?

I was checking the upcoming weather temps this morning and this coming week we drop from low 90's during the day to low 70's the next day

Our overnight temps will be in the upper 30's?

Natives, what do you think? Are we going to have another "real" winter?

I can't WAIT! I am sick to death of heat...23 years of it now. I really am looking forward to brisk fall days and "frost on the pumpkin" (and the smell of pines again!). I will be up there for a week on September 12...I hope it is jacket weather at night by then!

Don't worry Skittles2u...there's plenty of cold weather to share...I was noting that we're about 9 weeks away from putting the studded tires back on our cars...and thinking about when we'll get some good snow at Schweitzer for our kids to enjoy their season passes...

Funny you should start this thread, I was thinking the same thing. Is it me, or are we going to have an early Fall??? That cold front that just went through is not typical for this time of year. My asters are beginning to bloom- way too early if you ask me.

I don't know about you guys, but I've noticed a difference in the weather over the past two years; maybe because I'm a gardener I notice it more, but something seems amiss.

Recently I've befriended a former government official who was affiliated with ... well, let's just say he's a presidential appointee whose job was related to our weather( trying to maintain the guy's privacy here).....anyways, I asked him what he thought of the whole global warming thing.....he seemed to scoff at that idea, but said there is definitely climate change going on.

Yes we have noticed the cooler nights too and the air smells/feels different.Maybe more humidity?? We were talking about Fall today. Loving it . I did hear we are supposed to warm up again tomorrow :^( We do not have air conditioning in our house. Glad it does have good insulation. It stays pretty cool inside. I am looking forward to fall this year. I have so much yard work to do to be ready to plant next spring.Heavy work I can not get done in the heat.

Not betting anything against or for Mother Nature. I just know she will do what she will do.

Chris
