If you're in NID, there are classes offered at Center Target Sports in Post Falls, and Sharp Shooting Range in Spokane.

I did mine at Center Target Sports in Post Falls (NO WAY would I want to travel back to SoCal to requalify annually!). As a retired LEO (who myself was a weapons expert/trainer and special teams guy) I was VERY impressed by Ed Santos. The man knows his stuff and has done his homework. For me, making the transition from LEO life to post-LEO life, it was very helpful to go through a course like his. Utah permit came promptly and Center Target has you leave with your paperwork literally ready to mail off to Utah same day.

In Idaho County you have to be fingerprinted and pass a background check and be clear of any felonies, etc. That is all we were required to do. It takes about a month or so.

Does the ID code cover anything related to out of state CHL holders? I have a WV license which has reciprocity with ID and also plan on getting a non-resident PA permit which would allow me to carry in WA as well as other states I will be driving through on my way to the CDA area next month (relocating). I don't mind going through another CHL course (more training is good) but I'd like to find out if my WV training certificate and DD-214 will suffice.
