I think what he means is that for contentious issues that lean more broadly towards subjects addressed in the Politics and Controversies Forum and Great Debates Forum it is best to keep the conversations over there.

If you check out those forums you will find that they are moderated quite differently, there are very heated debates that get much uglier than what is tolerated over here.

I personally enjoy those Forums as much as this one, but there is a different atmosphere here, dare I say a much safer and more relaxed atmosphere, more appropriate to the discussion of the place itself rather than broader issues which are germaine to all the states and beyond.

BTW, I thought his quote was a fact

This is correct. Political issues contained within Idaho, or politics on how Idaho is interacting with other states/regions or general politics discussed with a bent on how it affects Idaho specifically...these would be appropriate content. And the level of decorum is much higher here than in the P&OC forum where "getting ugly" is the order of the day.

Leo41, my quote is innocuous and people generally find it humorous. But to get ticky-tack with you, it's not attacking any specific party of person, and completely within the ToS and moderator guidelines.

If you take that as serious political commentary worthy of complaint, I think you're going to have a pretty rough go of things here, as it would display either an shocking lack of discernment between gentle comic jest and political rhetoric, or an intentional inability do so. Either way it doesn't bode well for you.

Folks, it's time to move on. This has moved not only off topic, but to a place where new information is not being offered to those seeking relocation here to Idaho, and that's the point of this forum sub-section after all...
