Thanksgiving in Idaho (Was "Next Year...")
Happy Thanksgiving to all my Idaho friends.
My family and I are heading to the Mojave Desert for hopefully our last Thanksgiving here.
Next Year it's Turkey dinner in Emmett with some luck.

Happy Thanksgiving! I was hoping someone would start a greeting thread like this.
So what's everyone having for dinner? We've got the in-laws coming so we're going all out, we'll be doing a fried turkey, fresh cranberry relish, the famous green bean casserole (you know the one w/French Fried Onions), stuffing(mom's recipe), Sweet Potato biscuits w/honey butter, mashed garlic potatoes, finished off with homemade French Apple Pie and vanilla ice cream(geesh, I'm buying the ice cream...can't make everything, LOL). Whew, I'm full just thinking about it!
Sure hope everyone has a wonderful Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving! Look at the words. It urges us to be happy as we give thanks.
We, who live in Idaho, can be happily thankful of that. I know there are many out there in City-Data Forum Land who are trying to decide on a move to the Gem State, and others who have decided, but are waiting for the appropriate time for such a move. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
These are difficult and uncertain times in our country. Millions are out of work, and many who are working are living from paycheck to paycheck, or worrying about losing their job in this troubling economy. Others have taken on more debt than they should have, and are unable to meet obligations. Those of us who are more fortunate need to remember these less fortunate as we sit down to our abundant Thanksgiving meal.
There are many who are not happy and not able to give thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to All too. Just checked the bird in the fridge and I think I will cook it early ,maybe even tomorrow. Wednesday for sure, and have a relaxing day on Thanksgiving. Should be about down to the casserole and soup by then. Hehehehe. Since there is just the two of us I do not do a big deal. Unless some one wants to come join us. I will do the home made croissant dinner rolls. Pumpkin pie. then the usual spuds gravy and stuffing.Oh and cranberries.
I am very thankful to have landed two jobs and hope for better times for those that are still struggling. Even with the two jobs the income would not be enough to support us so not really a big deal. But I am happy to have them. Every little bit helps. For once my lack of desire to live the high falution (SP?) lifestyle has paid off and we are in good shape.
Be safe every one.
Chris

Happy Thanksgiving to all my new friends here on CDF....from the ones I've met personally to the ones I have yet to meet...
We're having a collection of friends and family over, doing a pretty traditional meal. Keeping some friends' kids over until the weekend...which means a house FULL of teenage girls....I expect your sympathy in advance.
I'm very thankful for completing our house construction and moving in, for our health and business, and for happy, healthy, and well adjusted kids. And also very thankful to be living in North Idaho....

I am thankful for the wonderful opportunity we have had to relocate to Idaho, for the countless friendly and helpful people we continue to meet here, and for all the great advice and community here on CDF. We will be enjoying Thanksgiving close to home with friends and family, and hope to do some overdue sightseeing while the weather is still clear and we are all free from work and school.
Here is to hope that we all enjoy a peaceful and happy holiday wherever we may be!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL IDAHOANS!!!
I'm so thankful to live in a beautiful state. This year I PROMISE, when it starts snowing, I will not complain!!! , unless, it last until April.
So, many people are waiting for the snow, it's what gets them through the winter.
