Default Info about Hailey

I'm wondering about the buiding market in Hailey. I realize that prices are inflated that isn't a concern of mine, what I'm wanting to know is if the market will hold or if Hailey is being flooded with new housing to the point that it will over build itself. Any information about Hailey also as far as weather, schools, family life, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thank You in advance, Kristi.

Don't think it will over build itself, not really enough room for that. The Billionaires have pushed the Millionaires out of Sun Valley to hailey and then the millionaires have pushed the rest of us to Bellvue and beyond. It has been a long cold winter here, but that is a bit unusual for here. The sun has been out alot, but it was very cold here this year. Schools are great here, town is family oriented and friendly, lots of activiites do do here for all, summer is alot better here than winter. Be prepared to spend at least 500k for some home here. It's a buyers market here now and the inventory is high.

With all that said, our newspaper here today just reported that Idaho ranks LAST in the nation for childcare. Not sure how that is for here in Hailey though.

That's exactly why I raise my own.

What I meant was exactly what you told me, they have overbuilt, they flooded the market. That's not good for us builders.;o)

No, not really. Besides, the homes in the area from Hailey to Ketchum are mini mansions and alot of the wealty people don't live there year round. If the houses weren't so big and taking up so much room, maybe there would be room to build more.

Hello All, there is a job in Hailey that I was thinking about looking into. Can anyone tell me what the average rental price is for a two bedroom apartment or house? Thanks -Xeno
