When is the best time to visit Shosone falls, I mean is there any water running yet or when does it usually start

Hello Wilda,

Shoshone Falls are best seen in the spring. Yes, now should be fine and on through May or even mid-June.

In dry years, particularly, water is diverted from the Snake River for agricultural and general use irrigation requirements. In those times, that use of the water will usually occur June through October.

Bring a camera.....and a picnic lunch!
