Went to an open house on Sunday down here (no, we weren't looking for pills, or a new home, just for home improvement ideas ), and got a surprise: brand new lists of homes and sales in our 'hood, and according to the agent, for the past two weeks homes have been selling fast! Of course he wants to make a sale, too, so I take that with a grain of salt, but the numbers were interesting, to say the least. Prices are low, interests are low, and now the sales are starting to happen (maybe). So hang in there, everybody who wants to sell and move to ID! Things may be looking up!

Just to back up my last post: Here are the new home sales numbers, so it wasn't just the real estate agent trying to be persuasive: SoCal home sales are up 31.4 % since April '08! Higher in Riverside and San Bernardino!
Here's a chart: Photo
And here's the text: Regional home sales soar, prices sour
So, keep the faith!

I read quite alot about houses starting to sell and things are moving but it must be in other areas than where we live.
5 weeks now and only 2 people have looked at this house and their checkbooks were much smaller than their mouths
My agent sent them off and told them " another hundred grand and you'll be moving in ".

Keeping the faith but the only thing that kills the pain is
