The slushes at Sonic go over alot better in Yuma Az. in the summer. Sometimes ten cars in line during happy hour!

I find this very interesting because my complaint about In N Out is that both times I have eaten there, both the burgers and fries have been horrible. Both were cold, the fries were way oversalted, and the food was all stale, fries and buns both. I will never eat at an In N Out again given a choice.
Has anyone tried either of the "5 guys Burgers and Fries" locations? There's one near my house, but I haven't eaten there yet.
Personally, I like the burgers from Red Robin best in town.
And I have to agree about Sonic. Great drinks, lousy food, except the tater tots, those are good there.

We've been to the 5 Guys in Ammon a couple of times. Burgers are quite good, just a little on the greasy side. Not a fan of the regular fries, personally, but my better half loves them. They also have Cajun fries...not a fan of those, either.
Have to agree that Red Robin's are quite good, just too darned expensive.
We tend to get burger freebies, though - several of our neighbors either work at 5 Guys, Okie's or Red Robin - definitely a perk!

I'm Surprised that no one has mentioned Big Jud's yet. Not only do you have the option for huge burgers but they taste great as well. Located in Boise and in Archer and Ashton. In Boise it is a very small restaurant behind the Maverick station on the corner of Protest and Boise Avenue. I've eaten at a number of the major chains and some of the small independent places and Big Judd's has among the best tasting burgers that are out there.

Ok, I have tried burgers in many NID establishments but I have to say I have NEVER had a better burger than the ones from DeLish. Im sorry to say they are in Spokane off Division. If your out that way.
Nice and greasy (not too much though..I hate a dry burger) grilled onions (if you please) melted cheese, fresh buns but not too big that you get a mouth full of bread only. Hot, always nice and hot and they only make when you order but they are fast. Great fries. And they have the BEST huckleberry lemonade to wash it down. Ohhh My!

Some of the best hamburgers in Boise are at the local Brewpubs or locally owned casual restaurants. Several locations in downtown offer hamburgers made with locally raised, grass-fed, organic beef. Knowing where your beef came from is a good thing. yum-yum.

My favorite in Boise is a double cheeseburger at Bad Boy's. I've only been to the one on Vista, so I don't know if quality varies by location, but I've never gotten a bad one there. Only problem is, their potato products are not good. Fries and tots are both dry and don't taste good either.
I also like Good Times but they season their fries which I don't like either. Guess I'm a Picky Fry Eater. So when I get Good Times, I stop at TJs near the mall and get fries.

Good Times is the greatest place for a burger in Boise. I was worried it wasn't going to make it through the financial crash. So many of my favorite places have gone under.
I agree with Syringaloid too--brewpubs make underrated burgers. Sockeye's burgers are truly magnificent.
InNOut is overrated. I really don't think it's as good as people say it is. It's good; it's much better than MickeyD's, but so is simply scraping and grilling roadkill off of the street.
Good Times puts InNOut to shame....I just discovered another local burger joint near where I live. Going to check it out this week....
