Default Idaho Currency?

Has anyone seen or know of any Idaho national bank notes? I am asking because it seems this is likely the most rich concentration of Idahoans past and present I can think of.

I had a link up to show what I am talking about but apparently that is considered promotion. Even though I am not selling anything... whatever.

Here is a note from my home town!

So, anyone seen any others?

Very Cool. More of a Coin Man myself. You may want to track down a copy of a a book on Currency & Notes that is the equivalent to Walter Breen's "bible", The Complete Encyclopedia of US and Colonial Coins.

My great uncle was the president of the first national bank of nez perce. He gave my dad a $10 bill that he signed from nez perce. It looks a lot like the $5 bill you showed a picture of, but it has more red and a lot of the numbers aren't the same.

Default Nez Perce

Hey USMC,

That would be a great note! If you know where it is and can get a scan of it I would be very happy to see it. If it's something that might be for sale it would be a 5 figure note without a doubt.

I hope to hear more about it. :-)

Default Where to find them

They can be found on eBay ocasionally... they also turn up in coin shops and small local auctions. Even garage sales. There are a few dealers that have inventory of these on the web but they are priced too high for the market right now.

They are pretty hard to find though... There are 1082 known on Idaho.

If you google Idaho Nationals you see can the rest of my collection.
