Ok, the official announcement I saw was on 05/16. The Friday Farmer's Market will open on June 12 (a week from this Friday). The hours will be 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. each Friday, I think until Labor Day. Someone better check on that part as I'm not positive how many months it will be held.
It will be at Liberty Square in Ammon.
I'm GUESSING THOSE WHO MIGHT WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN BOOTHS SHOULD CONTACT LIBERTY SQUARE, since that is where it will be held.
The address to Liberty Square is: 2475 S. Ammon Road.
Those who run Liberty Square may know a telephone number and/or email for whom to contact about displaying at this event. Paula Peterson was named the organizer. I don't know her or how to reach her.
For everyone who wants to display or have booths at the Farmer's Market, PLEASE post back here when YOU FIND OUT the CONTACT PERSON'S NAME AND HOW TO REACH THEM. We do NOT have that INFORMATION HERE!:
I'm very surprised each time someone writes here and asks us for information. If people are successful in business, it has been my experience that THEY do the research, networking etc. to find the connections instead of asking a few friends chatting about the event on a general Internet Site.
I think this was super smart of the Sr. Mgt. of Liberty Square to do. Unless I'm really confused

, which could be, Liberty Square has some Senior Citizen Living for those with disabilities. What a great idea to hold this Farmer's Market during a weekday so more people can come and interact with the residents of the center.

Maybe there is a way to hold a different event sometime during the week when kids could come and be around the residents. I know that is off-topic, but not really, if you think of EVERYONE who benefits. Besides, wouldn't it be great to go visit someone and take them freshly baked goods etc.?
I hope that answers your question, breer23. Maybe closer than you thought?

Then again, fresh produce going home, as close to home as possible is great. I do hope you know that I'm not upset with you, breer23, from my tone in this post. If I sound agitated, I admit I'm frustrated by all of these posts in this thread from people who want to be included selling items/selling food, sewn goods etc. or entertainment. What more can we say than WE ARE NOT the organizers nor are we the P.R. people advertising these events.
How come someone should contact you, for those posting their info, if you want to be involved and make money?
Isn't part of this about selling yourselves as important enough to be a part of these new events? Instead, how come you shouldn't be doing the work to find the contacts and become a part of a very successful new program in the Idaho Falls/Ammon area?:smack:
For all of you leaving email addresses or phone numbers, or contacting some of us privately, we DON'T have that INFORMATION!:hamd:
So please stop leaving your contact info and instead put your muscle and energy where you mind is: show up or call about being part of a Farmer's Market, don't ask us. How difficult is it to show up at the Farmer's Market where you hope to have a booth? How difficult is it to call Liberty Square etc.?
If it were me wanting to make money from this venture, I'd be researching everything myself.
I can hear Cleosmom (in my mind) coaching me it is time to say no more, now that I've said what I FINALLY had to say bluntly, as it seemed more subtle messages weren't getting through. Thank you Cleosmom for having me trained by now to know not to say more(and we didn't even talk about needing to go outside

).
I hope all those who want to be involved selling goods, hand made items, food, performing etc. can be involved and successful. I honestly wish you all well. However, if you don't take this first step and find the info yourselves, how can you present yourself as someone serious about wanting to provide goods/services and be paid for them?

These booths are businesses after all.
Bonus Round: Rexburg will also open a Farmer's Market by the end of June. I have NO INFO about it.
When someone attends on the 12th, please let us know more. If I'm incorrect about what is in Liberty Square, breer23, Cleosmom or others, will you please correct me? I can handle being wrong, I make many errors. But, at least I am not passive in when attempting to become one who earns money from an event.

Have fun everyone. I think it is great there is this much demand, in a community where still about 1/3- 1/4 of major revenue comes from agriculture to have the Farmer's Markets be such a success.
I look FORWARD to READING the SUCCESS STORIES of THOSE WHO POSTED HERE THAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO BE INVOLVED with the new ones in Ammon or Idaho Falls/Ammon. Actually, it would be interesting to learn the "hoops," one has to jump to have a booth etc. at a Farmer's Market.
