We need a Del Taco in Twin Falls
The nearest Del Taco is in Boise. I combed the internet and read that back in 2004 a deal was struck to have three franchises in Southern Idaho; one here in Twin, and two more in and around Idaho Falls. However there ain't no Del Taco here. I don't know if anyone native to Twin (or Southern Idaho for that matter) has ever heard of Del Taco but let me say it is the best fast food EVER!!! A couple of times my wife and I have gone to Boise just for Del Taco. I guess I will have to wait until we make it on the map for the peeps at DT to say, "Hey, the fine folk in Twin Falls, Idaho need us."

We had a something Taco here in IF on 17th out in front of the Shopko and well it was major yuck The one time we went by there to try them for the first time and the meat had about 3 inches of grease floating on top
Not sure if that was Del Taco or not.

Umm, other than Taco Hell...I mean, Bell....along 17th St. we seem to only have Fiesta Ole (uggh), Taco Time (double ughh) and a newly opened Taco Johns, which is mediocre at best. After my time in AZ & CA I would welcome a Del Taco...but still, I'll take the tamales at the IF farmers market anyday over any of the others mentioned.

Breer if you're liking Mexican food, sit down style not drive thru, try the newish Pachanga's downtown IF, sits east across from the courthouse, closed Sundays. We drive down to Blackfoot frequently to Melina's on Yellowstone Highway on the northern edge of town, just south of the fairgrounds. Or simply catch me when I'm making my own shredded beef for tacos, burritos etc.

Del Taco shut down in Pocatello awhile back, not a good sign for future expansion in Idaho. After sitting empty for a year, it is now a Taco Johns. Pretty much all tastes the same IMO.

What ya all need is a classic "Taco Truck" run by a Mexican guy. These Taco treat, Taco Time, Taco Johns and the Taco Bell type places may have some tasty items but it is certainly not to be considered Mexican food, It is Mexican inspired gringo food. I jokingly call them "Scarf and barfaderos"

Yup! Thats the way to go if you want a REAL taco or burrito.. I actually had some of the best Mexican food I ever ate in Montana Rick! Of course the owners were a Mexican family from Slow Cal..
