Sorry for anyone who needs one. Not sure what "good" means in that department. Anyone would be better off using a mediator to come up with a Marital Settlement Agreement and submitting it to the court.

Check with Local Bar Associations

MRR,
I'm sorry to hear anyone needs a divorce attorney.
Does Bonner County have a Bar Association? Or, maybe perhaps attorneys are listed as part of a larger NID association? Calling the courthouse and talking to a clerk in most any court dept. you should be able to find out if there is a local Bar Association or how local attorneys receive referrals.
Hope that helps.......

I would call Featherston Law in Sandpoint and maybe they can refer you. We have really liked their service in other areas of law (business/contracts).

Sorry to hear (or infer) that one is needed. I don't have much experience with attorneys from a professional standpoint, but know one personally. You might try John Finney out of Sandpoint, don't know if he does divorce but might be able to point the right way.
To try to lighten things up, I think I related my old neighbors comments before, "with 20 acres, a rifle and a backhoe, I don't need no sherrif". I know some who would apply that to lawyers too.

I am in the middle of a divorce right now in Bonner County. I have gone through the process not using an attorney. It hasn't been easy but when this ends next week I will owe nothing and my husband will owe thousands.

Oops...should've specified that it's not for me. I have a friend going thru a rough time and she's concerned that all local attorneys are wusses.
