Hey Misty, if you happen to read this, can you post just where the Priest River Inn is located? I want to take the wife over there Friday (have to make up for the boys weekend out last week). I know it can't be too hard to find in a town the size of PR, but just the same it would be nice not to circle all the streets too many times.

Thanks,
Toyman

Here you go Toyman...I found an article on it while I was looking for the address:
Priest River Times

The Priest River Inn is located at 114 Main St. in downtown Priest River. You can also call (208) 448-1097. SO if you're coming on Dufort, when you cross the bridge, go right on the road by the Priest River Museum and then take a left on Main.
After dinner cross the street to the Beardmore Building...the Noni Wine Bar is right around the corner.
I have to go to Bayview today... I'll honk and wave when I pass the turnoff to Jewel Lake on Dufort. Watch for a grey mud covered pickup with a crazy redheaded driver.

Thanks Misty, I didn't find much when I googled "Priest River Inn". Sounds like a nice little place for dinner. Sometime when you're going by, head up Jewel Lake road and stop in, we don't get out much . I really need to check out the town of Priest River more carefully, usually I just stop long enough for gas or groceries when heading elsewhere.

Misty, I want to thank you for the recommendation of the PRI. We went there for dinner last night, good food and a nice place, with a nice outdoor patio. Weather was perfect last night. We took a walk around town when we were done, checked out some of the sights as it were. I hope downtown continues with the revival, things are looking better on Main...though more of the town needs work.

this is slightly off topic but it has to do with understanding the directions you gave mistyriverranch. I thought Dufort Rd was in Sagle not Priest River. Does is run through both cities?
Thnx

Dufort Road runs east-west through Sagle, and when it hits the Pend Oreille River (at Morton Slough meeting up with Lakeshore) it turns southwest and hugs the river about 11 miles down to the Priest River bridge.

Thank you Sage! We came upon Dufort off of 95 on one of our sightseeing adventures and actually followed it all the way to the bend/slough/river. We thought it stopped there. Beautiful area!

Thanks for explaining, Sage.
Toyman, did you get a chance to go in Noni (wine bar)? Yep...the town still has a long way to go, but it's exciting to see what can be done with these old buildings. Did you see the people working on the old Hotel Charbonneau? A young couple from CA bought it and is restoring it to a bed and breakfast type establishment.

Hi Misty,

We didn't get into the Noni-we didn't happen across it. We weren't really looking, but based on your comments I figured we'd take a look. Is the hotel you're talking about the one right across from the PRI? I don't recall the name on that one, just that some extensive remodeling was being done, looked way upscale for Priest River.

We wandered up Hwy 2 for a while. We're suckers for critters, we spent too long looking at the cat and dog pics at the animal rescue place. We just added a little black lab/?? puppy to our family. People over in Wallace had her when I was there a couple weeks back, she was too cute to pass up, and in need of a good home.

No, that's the Beardmore Building that is across from the PRI. The Charboneau is on... ? Can't think of the street name. Whatever the street is that the bridge is on.
The wine bar is around the corner in the Beardmore..or right next to it.
