Here's an interesting story from the Idaho Statesman about the making of vodka in Idaho, including the Blue Ice brand.
E. Idaho distiller turns spuds into vodka | Idaho | Idaho Statesman
Oh, the magic of turning potatoes into hootch....and I've been eating Grandma's potato salad all this time!

Ok so is the bottle a pale blue as in the picture? Inquiring minds would like to know. Would make lovely bottle trees if they are. Adding reason to drink more of it. Tee Hee
The picture of lake and mountains looks like Redfish Lake as I remember it.

Blue Ice is $19.95 a fifth at the Idaho State Liquor Stores. In the interest of science (of course), I have now run Blue Ice Vodka from Idaho through a series of rigid and exhaustive taste tests.
Being a bit of a Patsy, I was not able to test Blue Ice straight. I opted for a considerable amount of Schweppes Tonic Water as a weakening agent and included just a twist of lime. To make the report vluble, i dranl seveal.
I couldd givr you an extensive evalustion, butt it mught be beat to jusy tel yu that it tadted prety godo. I hifly recomens bLue iCE fr yur pleadur....
Goonit!

Nice CM I think you will like it! I also found another Idaho Vodka while we were there the last time. I cant think of the name right now but it was REAL good.. Not the 44 deg's stuff, it was something else... I'll be back in a week or so and grab another bottle and report back..
Idaho is going to be the Napa Valley of Vodka's before long..lol..
