Ugh. Frost in June.
It went down to 30 degrees last night. Poor little tomato plants.

There's a Youtube video floating around of a snowstorm in Moscow that took place last June that would have been impressive in January.

I've seen it...it was set to the music, "Let it snow". That happened a week before my daughter and i were down there (right next door in Deary) for Pony Club camp and it was hot by the time we got there. Screwy weather.

Well, that depends on if the weather is during the week or the weekend.
Honestly, I don't mind any of the weather except for three things:
1. I cannot stand the wind. Ever. And it seems as if the wind is always blowing in Southern Idaho. The Boise area, however, is much more moderate than Mtn Home, Twin Falls, and Burley, and thank God.
2. The two week - month long hot spell in late July and early August. The temps often get above 100, and the sun beats down on you. It just wears me out.
3. The sunless spells in winter, usually caused by inversion. Gives me cabin fever.
Other than that, I can deal with all the rain or snow that it wants to dump down, whenever.

We were up on Baldy and Gisborn (just West of Sandpoint), there are still some 6' snowdrifts up on top, in the shady spots. Another couple weeks and it should melt off....as long as we don't get many more cold nights. I wouldn't mind a good rain, it's getting pretty dry already.

Got some snow up Yellowstone this weekend.
My niece is getting married on the 26th of this month and she says it can rain all it wants up to then, if it snow she says Mother Nature will feel her wrath!

This happened in the region last year as well. The climate has gotten very odd recently.
Last June in Pullman/Moscow there was 2 inches of snow on the ground. In JUNE.
Where I am now in MN, the temp has gone from 90 degree weather last week to 40 degree weather. I had to bring all my plants in and risk mold.

I was planting in a light rain the other day, next thing you know there is some kind of hurricane or tornado warning, wind whipping my hair in my eyes, being pelted with huge hail balls, streets abandoned. Got a call from my son taking refuge in a restaurant, a cop advised him to seek shelter and stay inside!! Once I'd been driven out of my garden by the torrential downpour, I decided to cross the river for a nice glass of red wine at a friends, here is a picture from the awesome storm, sorry, just a cell phone pic.
