No need to water...
Over half an inch of rain between last night and this afternoon.
What a light show it was last night! We are protected from the high winds but Priest River took quite a hit. How is everyone else in the area?

Had a tornado warning here in Sagle. That was a bit unnerving. But I think it's not a funnel...it's when the wind whirls around and tears the tops off from trees like around July 1st 2007 when we lost power here for 5 days...

I still have downed trees to finish cutting up from that one! We had a good blow at my place last night. I thought about tossing the chain saw in the car for the ride to work this morning just in case. Turns out someone beat me to it, the downed tree across my road was already cut out.

We had another downpour last night. Usually it's dry as a bone this time of year.

I had a stopover in SeaTac on Wednesday, flying home to SoCal from Europe, and it was 102 degrees in Seattle! I heard Boise has been horribly hot, too. How hot did it get in NID? It sounds like the wind came in after the heat wave? Now I'm worrying about all our tall trees in Clark Fork... I think maybe we'll have to make another trip soon and check out the trees!

Was 86 in Sagle today...forecast calls for 94 tomorrow but we're usually a couple degrees under that...
